Meet the founders.
The Sports Business Inclusion Community (SBIC) was founded by Diego Andrade-Cabrera, Alana Milow, and Daniel Aboul-Hassan in the fall of 2020 at the University of Michigan, during a time when social justice issues were taking center stage in the sports industry. The founders, motivated by a shared desire for a more inclusive environment, created a safe space for historically underrepresented groups to engage in thoughtful discussions, develop professionally, and find a support system that was previously lacking on campus. Despite being relatively new to Michigan, the founders recognized the need for a student organization that would provide a welcoming environment for students pursuing careers in sports, ensuring they felt a sense of belonging.
